39331 – DSB Class EB (Vectron) Electric Locomotive In March of 2018, the DSB released the final results of their call for bids started in 2016 for new class EB electric locomotives with Siemens as the winner. For the DSB it was of the greatest importance that the new units have a "standard design", which had already proven itself in daily operation. Starting in September of 2020, Siemens initially delivered 26 Vectrons in an AC version (25 kilovolts / 50 Hertz and 15 kilovolts / 16.7 Hertz) as road numbers EB 3201-3226 with a maximum speed of 200 km/h / 125 mph. There is an option for 18 additional units and Siemens will also be responsible for the locomotives' maintenance in the first ten years. The EB units will be used chiefly in Zealand regional service pulling bi-level trains and they have authorization to run in Denmark and Germany.
