Preservative ... The firm Hengstenberg in Esslingen was founded in 1876 out of a factory for pickled canned food. The firm's concept has been and is high quality food without additives using preservative preparation: Hengstenberg was instrumental in the introduction of the purity law for vinegar made from wine.
